The New England Acura Dealers (NEADA) sold its twenty-thousandth Acura vehicle, completing its pledge to raise $1 million for the Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) by November 2016. Since 2012, the NEADA has donated a portion of the proceeds from every Acura sold to the BCH Children’s Fund, an unrestricted fund that supports the hospital’s areas of greatest need in patient care, research and community health.
“Everyone in New England has been touched by BCH in some way. As a parent, it gives you peace of mind to have such a great facility in your backyard, with doctors and research so close to home. I am proud of the work our dealerships did to hit this one million dollar mark. We love helping the community and the friends we have made during our BCH partnership,” said Chris Connolly, president of NEADA and general manager of Herb Connolly Acura.
The NEADA also served as a major sponsor at all BCH signature fundraising events and initiatives, including the Champions for Children Gala, McCourty Brothers Sickle Cell Casino Night, Milagros Para Niños Gala, Corey C. Griffin NHL Alumni Pro-Am Tournament and the 2016 Boston Marathon Miles for Miracles team. To learn more about NEADA’s support of BCH, please visit www.NEAcuraDealersNews.com.
“We are so proud of the good [the donation] has brought BCH. Over the last 4 years, we have enjoyed meeting doctors, learning of the research breakthroughs, bringing smiles to patients during craft days and hearing the success stories that could only happen at BCH,” said Joel Avery, NEADA board member and GM at Acura of Peabody. He continued, “Watching Miles for Miracles runners don jerseys with Acura logos, seeing our cars on display at events, as well as participating in many of the fundraisers ourselves – now we get to see how the NEADA and its customers helped.”
